Deepa Mahajan is a multimedia artist whose work explores areas of the mind where thoughts and emotions remain unsettled. Her work focuses on this inner space where inner conflict, anxiety, worrying thought patterns and inner push-pull live. Through collage, drawing, objects, installations, and site-specific work, she creates unsettled zones that give rise to a sense of unmet expectation.

Her work has been exhibited at venues including Memor Museum (New York City), 621 Gallery (Florida), Chemould Prescott Road (Mumbai), Grants Pass Museum of Art (Oregon), The Multicultural Heritage Centre (Canada), Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts (Omaha), and the Dayton Society of Artists (Ohio). She was a finalist for the Sovereign Asian Art Prize and was selected for the Santorini Biennale in Greece. She has also received an artist merit grant for a residency at the Vermont Studio Center. Her work has been reviewed in publications including the Free Press Journal, HT and The Straits Times, Singapore.
