In this video, I am examining how our mind interprets what we see. Our mind works to keep the world around us feeling stable, even when the images our eyes see are distorted or changed. This reflects how the mental realm maintains a sense of consistency and familiarity in what we perceive. The arrangement of objects in the video is inspired by a painting of Cezanne of apples and pears. In the first part of the video the arrangement of objects is captured from an aerial view and in the second part, using techniques of Ames room, deliberate distortions are created, showing an aspect of the complex nature of the human mind.
